S T R A N D E D

So an apocalyptic ice storm is apparently going to hit Oklahoma soon...as in like an hour or so. I'm STOKED...I convinced both of my roommates to stay here and party with me! We're trying to invest in a bottle of wine or something for our room...we'll see. A little Grey Goose, perhaps? But anyway. We bought a WHOLE bunch of snacks and rented a ton of movies, so if the power goes out...we'll have nothing to do. I have a stack of books up to *HERE* to read and I'm so psyched. So Oklahoma ice storm...BRING IT. We're ready.

2009 recap/NEW YEAR'S PARTY!

Jessie and I ended up going to Norman to party after all! And let me just say...this party. Was. INSANE. I honestly have no idea how many people were packed into this house...probably 80. Biggest house party I've been to in a long time. And the surprise part? It was my sorority sister Michelle's house!! And I had no idea. Seeing her was so good too. Before the party, Jessie and I stopped at my AOII sister Loree's house to see my big sister Meghan, who was in town to party also. I was SO HAPPY I GOT TO SEE HER. But enough of that...let's talk about 2009 and how epic it was.

Here are my most FAVORITE 2009 memories! :)

Travel: Going to New York City with my family for my birthday, road trips with Jessie and co., long nights at the lake, OU/TX weekend with my sorority sisters and Jose and Max, New Mexico with my family, and the occasional trips to Dallas with random people to do random things.

School: Graduating 5th in my class of 150, All-State choir in Tulsa, winning State Choir Contest (2nd year in a row!), being section leader in my varsity choir, getting accepted to OU, rushing Alpha Omicron Pi, keeping my 4.0 GPA for my first semester in college.

Music: DALLAS WARPED TOUR (3rd year in a row!), seeing Copeland with Meghan and Shelly, meeting Aaron Marsh, fighting with Aaron Marsh via Twitter, seeing Mayday Parade & All Time Low in Austin, TX, getting over 7,000 views on my Paramore cover video on Youtube.

Parties: pre-parties, after parties, frat parties, hotel parties, house parties, holiday parties, any kind of party possible! I partied a lot this year.

People: Bearhunting with Jessie, photoshooting with Summer, being reunited with my best friend Richard after a year of not seeing him (and staying the night with him :D), making parody videos/songs of ex boyfriends with Jessie, Summer, and Caleb, meeting Kaleb and Erik and partying with them, being in love.

2009 was one of the best years of my life. And I only hope that your year was just as fantastic! And that 2010 will be wonderful in its own way.

I sort of feel sorry for you...but at the same time, I don't.

I thought it was pretty relevant to how I've been feeling, oh, you know, for about a year and a half now. Except instead of big dumb combat boots, it might be big dumb cowboy boots.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas 2009 has been a serious blessing so far. My mom's been feeling SO much better, compared to how she was last year. Her doctor diagnosed her with a rare lung condition called BOOP (bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia) last December and put her on mega doses of steriods. She successfully responded to the medication and she's breathing so much easier now. We've all been thanking God so much for allowing her to get better. Prayer is the best medicine!

Another blessing: A WHITE CHRISTMAS! My last blog of course documented our "mini blizzard" in Western Oklahoma/Northwestern Texas. My town hasn't seen snow in a long, long time, and it's all my mom wanted for Christmas :) so she got her wish. It's absolutely gorgeous outside! My Shiba Inu puppy Toshi keeeps running outside and playing in it, it's the cutest thing ever. I was reading Elle yesterday, an article about Lady Gaga (who else?) when I found out that she ALSO has a Shiba Inu puppy and is left handed!! The similarities continue.

Anyways, what did everyone get for Christmas? I'm excited to give Jessie and my roommates their gifts, I hope they love them! :)

Recap of yesterday and today:

Okay so yesterday was ABSOLUTELY INSANELY HORRIBLE. I was so ridiculously sick, so I spent all day in bed. I think I caught the 24 hour flu bug from someone at EJ's house Tuesday night..hm.. But his little house party was so much fun. It was insane...I'll leave it at that. I was so excited to get to hang out with Summer! We never see each other, me being away at university and she being a super busy hostess at this really popular steakhouse.

Now for today! It's only 1:26 in the afternoon, I've only beeen up for like 2 hours haha. I woke up and my parents broke the news to me that we may NOT be going to Colorado after all. Why? IT'S SNOWING IN MY SMALL HOMETOWN!!!!!!!!!! It barely ever snows!! We're in a blizzard warning! Hahaha my entire family flipped out. Since I'm still not completely recovered, I haven't been outside to play yet. But I'll go out later tonight! It's a white Christmas after all!!!
Joey just called and he wants to go sledding. So I may end up doing that today :) I still have to go pick up Jessie and Kaleb's Christmas presents though. And I have to see Dustin...or else he'll kill me. My little Schroeder. My cable's out, so I'll settle on having a Lady Gaga dance party in my computer room.
